Virginia Chan is the Head of Digitalization, ASEAN at Siemens Healthineers, and Chair of Digital Health Chapter of Asia Regulatory Professional Association. Virginia’s career spans over a 20-year journey in the high technology and healthcare industries across regional and global leadership capacity.
As Head of Digitalization in Siemens Healthineers, Virginia spearheads digital transformation and partnership with private and public healthcare institutions across ASEAN, with smart hospital eco-system, nation-wide healthcare information exchange, utilizing telehealth, remote monitoring, AI, IoT, blockchain to support clinical decision support, to achieve predictive, preventive and precision medicine, improve quality and access of healthcare.
Prior to Siemens Healthineers, Virginia was the Head of Digital Transformation in Life Sciences Industries, APAC at Siemens Digital Industries Software, leading industry 4.0 for biopharma and medical devices industries. As the expert of International Medical Devices School and co-founder of China division, she spearheaded Digital Health Alliance and support “future medical city” project with government, regulators, medical devices companies, research institutions and investors to transform the quality and access of healthcare.
Prior joining Siemens, Virginia has more than 18 years of regional and global leadership experience in Medical Technology Industry in Germany and APAC region. Virginia holds MBA and MSc. (Information Systems Management) from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and currently resides in Singapore.
